Leon has always had an interest in radio. He has been affiliated with WPYB for almost 50 years. He did some part-time work and also had a program each Sunday morning at 8:30 am called the Bible Hour. He was blessed by God to purchase the station in 1996. He lives in Harnett County and graduated from Dunn high School, married his high school sweetheart, Sue. The have been blessed with two wonderful children, Mark and Susan, four wonderful grandchildren, Aaron, Hannah, Madeline and Gavin. At age seventeen, he felt the call into the ministry. He pastored four local churches, staying at the last one 37 years before resigning in 2010. He now does his ministry on WPYB with a program Monday - Friday called Turning Point and also continued the Sunday morning program, which is called A Look at the Book. God is so good and has blessed beyond words. Another highlight of his day's work is the Good Morning Leon Show, Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 10:00 am. It gives him pleasure to feel the trust and support received from the sponsors and listeners of his program. There is not anyone who values their sponsors and listeners and their staff anymore than he does.

Sue is a lifetime resident of Dunn, NC and co-owner of the best little station in the nation, WPYB along with her husband, Leon. Sue and Leon have 2 children Mark and Susan. She is the proud grandma to their four wonderful grandchildren, who keep her so busy since her retirement. Sue was in the banking business for over 45 years where she enjoyed meeting people and being able to assist them with their financial needs. Her love and concern for people made this an important place for her to work. Sue is very supportive of the radio business because of her husband's love for it. She can always be seen assisting at all the events that the station does for its listeners and sponsors. This keeps her in contact with all her friends. She is very active in her church, enjoys shopping, working in her yards, and will go to the beach and mountains if her husband decides to take a few days away from work at WPYB.
